I don’t speak any really fluently except english, but I did a spanish A-level at school which I really enjoyed. I’ve managed to keep it up with a bit of practice so I can still speak it quite well 🙂

I speak English fluently and speak pretty good German, as I learnt it at A Level and then carried on practicing once I went to university

I can speak English, Hindi and another Indian language like Kashmiri. I can’t speak but can understand a many spoken on the Indian subcontinent like Urdu, Marathi, Punjabi. I can also speak Scottish and can understand people from Peterhead or Glasgow, does that count? 😂

I did an A Level in Spanish and took lessons at uni but I wish I put more effort into keeping it up as I’m rubbish now!

Unfortunately I didn’t do any languages after GCSE, so I’m not great at any of them. I’ve been pretty lucky that everywhere I have worked abroad people have spoken great English! 😂

I speak German fairly well, mostly as a hobby and I have friends who are German. I speak a tiny amount of Spanish too, and I used to know some Italian because I worked with Italians for a while, but I’ve forgotten a lot of that

I speak English and Irish (though not fluently even though I studied it for years).
I can also understand and speak a little bit of German (which I speak with a wonderful Irish twang to the words), Japanese and French.

Sadly no. The most I can do is some French, I did it at school and have been on holiday there a lot. I can read it quite well but can’t speak much beyond some basic greetings.

I can speak a bit of German but that’s about it apart from very basic French.

I’m fluent in French, I did that as a French GCSE. Then spent some time in St Tropez and that time cemented my conversation skills.

Learnt Italian before the pandemic for a holiday to Naples. Only enough to check in to hotels, order dinner and buy tickets. That sort of thing.

I was taught Welsh by my late grandparents who lived in North Wales. It’s very rusty now. I only remember a few greetings like how to say hello, how are you and a few random words like banana. Google how to say banana in Welsh. It’s such a hard word that all the native Welsh just say banana in English. That makes me giggle. I certainly couldn’t hold a conversation in Welsh these days.

Turkish and English are my native languages. I took lessons in Spanish and German and can understand but not speak well in those languages. Sometimes I still do Spanish mini lessons on my phone to brush up:)
