For all vehicles to be powered by renewable energy, our entire National Grid would have to be powered by renewable energy, as most cars are plugged in at homes which receive their power from the National Grid. Although good strides have been taken to generate more renewable energy, there are still too many companies who choose to produce electricity using non-renewable sources. The government will have to enforce large fines and bans on the burning of fossil fuels, or give companies incentives to produce via renewable energy to push this along.
As there is still so much to change, this is probably at least 20 years away, unless something drastically changes, or an environmental event occurs that forces this to happen sooner.
I know that’s a very vague answer, but its a difficult question. Hopefully, you can be part of that change, that can change the future and push renewable energy!
