I wanted to do lots of different jobs when I was younger. I wanted to be a primary school teacher till I was around 15, then decided I might want to be a journalist, then I took an interest in science and thought I’d like to be an optician. Then I decided I would go to university to do an engineering degree, so I thought I’d be a Mechanical Engineer – and I didn’t do that either! To cut a long story short, sometimes we think we know what we want to do and it turns out differently!

I wanted to work for NASA. (Maybe that’s still coding in the sky – literally!) Not as an astronaut, just as someone involved in the process
